My Experience: Accessing Other Worlds
I've owned every Oculus/Meta headset since the DK2, and the Quest 3S captures the magic of the expensive Pro models at a price that actually makes sense for normal people. Putting this on for the first time, the color passthrough (seeing your room in color while menus float in the air) is a game-changer. It stops you from feeling isolated.
I spent the weekend playing "Asgard's Wrath 2" (which came with it) and doing a few workouts in "Supernatural". The resolution bump over the Quest 2 is noticeable—text is readable, and distant objects don't look like pixel soup. But the real winner is the wireless freedom. No cables tangling your feet. just pure immersion.
Comfort & Battery
It's lighter than it looks. I played for about two hours straight before noticing the weight on my cheeks. The battery life is okay—about 2.5 hours of heavy gaming—but for most sessions, that's enough. If you're a teacher looking to bring virtual field trips to a classroom, or just want to slice beats in Beat Saber after work, this is the easiest recommendation in VR right now.

- Color Passthrough feels futuristic
- Huge library of games (Quest + PCVR)
